The Powell County High School District was notified today that two staff members tested positive for Covid-19. The staff members will be placed in quarantine in accordance with the directive of the Powell County Health Department.
If any staff or students are at risk of exposure, the Powell County Health Department will be in contact with that person to determine a safe and appropriate course of action. It is still recommended that any person who feels sick or ill, seek out their medical provider for specific instructions.
We will continue to provide you with updates that will include any additional results that we receive and what we are doing to mitigate the situation. We remain focused on prevention, as the safety and well-being of our students and staff members is our top priority.
School officials will continue to monitor the situation and will provide further information if and when it becomes available. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
